About Ahmereen Reza

Ahmereen Reza is an architect, completed her graduate work from MIT and a consultant advising businesses & charities on poverty alleviation, social housing, effective community-based self-help and improving opportunities for underserved communities.

Ahmereen is GLA candidate London List, a Prospective Parliamentary Candidate-PPC, Director of Conservative Friends of Pakistan, Communities Working Group and a former Parliamentary candidate for Hodge Hill Birmingham GE 2017.  

Ahmereen received the British Communities Honours Award-2015, the Eurasian Award-2014 and nominated as 'Women of the Future' at the Asian Women of Achievements Awards-2013, recognising her work with women and multi ethnic minority communities in the UK. 

She sits on the board of Southern Housing Group, co-founder/ former Chair of a charity that educates girls in Pakistanand upskills BAME women. Ahmereen is former CEO- British Pakistan Foundation and a Trustee of Nisa Nashim that works with Jewish and Muslim women to build bridges. Ahmereen served on the steering committee to reducing barriers for women on Boards of FTSE 350 companies and to increase a diverse pipeline of senior management.

At present, Ahmereen is giving priority to preventing homelessness, mentoring first offenders into jobs to stop reoffending, to provide BAME women career pathways and off benefits and supporting mental health wellbeing classes for terminally ill children at Great Ormond Street, Evelina Children’s Hospital, University College Hospital, The Royal London and Whipps Cross Hospital.

Her fined tuned interpersonal skills, goal oriented and methodical process in delivering programs is based on her over 25 years’ experience as an architect and founder/Chair of a charity that educates girls, in a male dominated sector in cities like NY, Tokyo, London and Karachi. 

She is tenacious, driven, yet modest with an ability to tackle challenges and work well under pressure. A personable manner with the ability to be clear, precise, diplomatic and compassionate. Ahmereen is passionate about making a difference in the UK – both by inspiring and engaging young people with positive role models and opportunities and by engaging with stakeholders and projects on the frontline, making the change a reality.
